Dear Friends of the Ripa Sangha,
Monday, February 22nd, is both Guru Rinpoche day and the birthday for His Eminence Namkha Drimed Rabjam Rinpoche, an auspicious day to celebrate the grandeur of his life and his tireless activity for the benefit of all sentient beings!
In Orissa, the Tibetan Settlement of Chandragiri, headed by the Representative Office of the Tibetan Government in exile in Orissa, has organized a three-day Amitayus puja for the long life of His Eminence. The puja, that started yesterday, February 16th will culminate tomorrow February 18th. A Tenshuk ceremony, whereby an effigy of His Eminence is presented and offered to the Dakinis, alongside Tormas and other offerings, to request them to please take the effigy away and let the Nirmanakaya body of the Terton stay among us for a long time, especially in these degenerated times when the presence of His Eminence is more important than ever before.
Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche requested that this extraordinary ceremony be broadcast to the entire Ripa International Sangha via Zoom. This way, a full and powerful Mandala will be created to support the life force of His Eminence, both by the physical Tibetan community at the Thupten Mindrolling Monastery and the community of Western Ripa students around the world! During the ceremonies, participants via Zoom may recite the long life prayer for His Eminence :
TSCHHÖ NYI NAM KHÄ LONG NÄ THUG DSCHE GAR
SAB DÖN NGAG KYI RIG PA DZIN PÄ TS’HÜL
DRI ME DAM PÄ YÖN TÄN RAB DSCHAM NGA
PÄLDÄN LAMÄ SCHAB PÄ TÄN GYUR TSCHIG
or the Amitayus mantra : OM AMARANI ZIWENTI YE SOHA .
The Ripa International Center team is honored to support the Zoom broadcasting from the Orissa Monastery. Below are the details: |
